GASMASTER Medical Gas AlarmIntroduction

The GCE GASMASTER medical gas alarm is an advanced electronic device designed as a concentrator for medical gas alarm networks. Capable of managing up to 30 devices connected via twisted shielded cable using the MODBUS protocol, this digital medical gas alarm ensures comprehensive monitoring and control. Configuration is made easy with the integrated touch monitor, allowing you to modify each input's parameters, including names, LEDs, sound signals, MODBUS addresses, and relays.

This alarm for medical gases is designed for seamless integration into a Building Management System (BMS) for monitoring its status and any active alarms. By using the RJ45 socket and connecting an Ethernet cable, you can easily interrogate the GASMASTER using the MODBUS TCP/IP protocol.

For added reliability, the GASMASTER alarm system includes a backup battery, with a few hours of runtime, which supports its function during power outages. The system interprets the absence of current as an alarm condition, activating the sound system until the main power supply is restored.

GASMASTER Medical Gas AlarmFeatures

Manages Up To 30 Devices

The GCE GASMASTER medical gas alarm manages up to 30 devices connected via twisted shielded cable using the MODBUS protocol.

Easy Configuration

Integrated touch monitor for easy modification of input parameters, including names, LEDs, sound signals, MODBUS addresses, and relays.

BMS Integration

Seamlessly integrates into Building Management Systems (BMS) for status monitoring and alarm management via RJ45 socket and MODBUS TCP/IP protocol.

Configurable Relays

The medical alarm system is equipped with 2 configurable relays that can be activated to report its status to a remote station.

NORMAL CONDITIONS

System Initialization

When switched on, the system loads the stored configuration and performs a first cycle to check the communication and the status of the peripherals. Once completed, the system shows the peripherals connected.

Peripheral Status Check

Clicking on the desired peripheral button allows you to check its status. If a peripheral triggers an alarm or becomes unreachable via the MODBUS connection, the GASMASTER's main page will display the device's name and the specific input in the alarm. If multiple alarms occur simultaneously, the names and details will appear sequentially.

Configuration Menu Access

To enter the configuration menu, press the corresponding button on the main screen and enter the password (default: "000000”).

MODBUS RTU CONNECTION

The peripherals must be connected in a cascade mode one after the other, keeping the correct polarity of the cables and using a cable suitable for RS485 communication.

The maximum distance that can be reached in optimal conditions for MODBUS communication at 9600 baud is 1200m, but, due to interferences, it is suggested to reduce as much as possible this distance.
