Ceiling ICU BeamsIntroduction

The GCE ICU beams are advanced overhead utility systems designed for intensive care unit rooms. Ceiling-mounted solutions offer superior functionality compared to traditional headwalls, providing significant benefits for caregivers, particularly in neurodegenerative and cardiac ICUs where access to the head of the bed is crucial. Hospital staff appreciate overhead beams for their ergonomic design and enhanced accessibility.

Typically positioned directly over the center of the patient, these medical units feature articulating arms or sliding gliders that allow utilities to be easily moved to the side of the patient’s bed, optimizing space, and improving care efficiency.

Ceiling ICU BeamsFeatures

ICU Type L

A simple yet highly functional supply beam system suitable for hospital ICU wards. As an overhead solution, it provides superior accessibility for medical personnel needing access to the head of the bed. It comes equipped with standard fittings, including medical gas outlets, electrical and data sockets, and various types of lighting.

ICU Type M

The Type M beam is an essential piece of equipment for modern intensive care units. It consists of a main beam frame along with distinct dry and wet sections. The wet area is equipped with flexible infusion systems, while the dry section features sliding gliders with trays and drawers, ensuring organized and efficient utility management.

ICU Type H

Like Type M, the Type H beam includes a main beam frame along with separate dry and wet sections. The wet and dry areas utilize a pendant structure, providing service heads with rotating arms for enhanced flexibility. These service heads come with medical gas outlets, electrical and data sockets, and the cross beam features a centrally located lighting treatment lamp. The rotating arm includes a brake to prevent drift, ensuring stability during use.
